School Bursar
Mr. John Ehi is the Chalcedony School Bursar. He is directly responsible to the Head of School of Chalcedony School and responsible for Finance assistance and support staff. He ensures and manages the school’s finances in an efficient and timely manner including budget management and to manage matters relating to the school support staff.
His duties generally focus on the management of school’s finances, including Standards Fund and other external funding, forward budget planning including preparation of annual forecasts and budgets, in consultation with the Head of School.
He is responsible for reconciliation and reimbursement of petty cash, the management of all staff financial records and to oversee work with the schools’ personnel and payroll providers.
He manages the relationship and contracts with all external providers of goods and services and responsibility for the internal procedures and processes necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the school.
Mr. John maintains confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information and to undertake any other duties of a similar level and responsibility as may be required.
Mr. John has over 11 years’ experience as a bursar. He is equipped with Higher National Diploma in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic of Nasarawa and he is also an Associate member of the Institute of Treasury Management and he is presently a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria.
